AddMix five hopes to make impact in PBL

AddMix, known as the salt and seasoning for concrete design mixes, hopes to bring its “X” factor in the 2010 PBL PG Flex-UK Derm Cup which opens shop on Feb. 16.

“We don’t have yet stars in the team but I’m confident we can be at par with some of the best teams in the league right now,” said coach Leo Austria. “What we have now is a versatile squad.”

With a mixture of UAAP and NCAA players, Austria believes his team can measure up to the challenge, given the system he’s trying to instill to the team.

“We have the system to guide us, and if we can perfect it, then we have a very good chance in the coming tournament,” said Austria, who guided Welcoat to a championship in 2003.

The one-time PBA mentor also said that with the talent of his players, he’s capable of putting up a tall starting unit with the likes of Jan Colina, San Beda’s Jake Pascual, Arellano’s Gio Ciriacruz, Lester Alvarez, Alex Nuyles, Mike Galinato and Raymond Austria.

“Like AddMix, drops of perspiration and the right dose of inspiration can mean the difference between being ordinary and being outstanding. AddMix is the cement transformer just as this team will be the PBL transformer,” said Gilbert Cruz, chairman of Davies Technical Solutions Inc. and the team’s representative to the Board,

He also said that AddMix is a premium chemical additive that transforms cement and concrete to even better building materials.

Austria said he’s excited to see how Ciriacruz will blossom in the league, knowing he has the height and power to become a star in the league.
